When I got to Michigan, one of the first things I got to do was bake cookies with a friend (future brother-in-law?). He chose to make sugar cookies and I was invited. The recipe seemed simple and yet the cookies tasted salty by the time we finished. We have many theories as to why that was. However, we tried to make it better by adding extra sugar to them. A lot of extra sugar. That definitely helped, but I think we’re agreed in that we need to bake more cookies to redeem ourselves.
